RED TRIANGLES V/S JOMA FC
The match started with both teams showcasing strong performances. Joma FC, unlike their previous matches, showcased more intensity in the match with better teamwork compared to Red triangles. The first half was rather slow, both teams attempted to score goals but failed to do so. Joma FC did miss a few golden opportunities to score against the Red triangles. Red triangles had a certain advantage but lacked chemistry amongst each other which caused them to miss good chances to lead. The first half came to an end with neither team scoring.
Second half was more aggressive and intense from both sides which caused both teams to receive a red card and changed the dynamics of the game. Joma FC seemed to be in a better form comparatively, demonstrating strong attack and finally scored an effortless goal in the last few minutes of second half. Pressure built up, and Red triangles tried to gain their lost momentum back but failed to do so. The match was a deciding factor for both teams to go to the KNOCKOUT stage of the tournament. As the end of the second half came closer, Joma FC tried to maintain their lead whereas Red triangles tried to score at least one goal. Second half was fast paced compared to the first half. Match ended with Joma FC leading 1-0. Joma FC turned their fate around and came second on the table.
The rest of the scheduled matches were forfeited- Black shadows against Blue fox where Black shadows forfeited, Blinders vs Panthera, the latter forfeited, North Africa FC and Black FC also forfeited giving advantage to their respective opponents- Abbali and Joma FC.
This concluded the Group Stages of Men’s winter tournament.
